Small hometown vibe within distance of the big city
Delaware, Ohio, which is located just North of the Columbus area, has a traditional, small hometown feel to it. A great downtown area offers shopping options, eateries, and small town living. Additionally, the inclusion of the new Tanger Outlets shopping centers, coming to Sunbury, Ohio (East of Delaware) will provide more business opportunity and should most-likely help increase home values and lifestyle appeal, even if slightly.

According to www.GreatSchools.org, the rated school districts in the Delaware, Ohio area receive a range of ratings, topping as high as 9/10, and averaging 7/10 overall. As we advise our home buyer clients who are thinking of moving to a particular area, if you're interested in the ratings for a school district, we find that it's helpful to check that city's school ratings and map it out in accordance with the homes from that area which you find appealing. That will help you narrow down which homes you might want to focus on, and on the flip side, which ones you might want to disregard for now.
Delaware, Ohio Real Estate For Sale and the Market...
As is the case with most of Central Ohio, Delaware is seeing an upswing in home values and a shortened average days on market. This is due to a lower-than-normal number of available homes on the market. Delaware is a growing area, and buyers are considering Delaware more of an option than they may have in the past. Additionally, the Delaware city area is considered to have lower property taxes, and buyers see they can get "more bang for their buck" in an area like this, including a larger lot/land.
